This is a coloured architectural illustration of the iconic Radcliffe Camera (part of the Bodleian Library) in Oxford.
The "by night" series are truly eye-catching pieces, and when viewed from up close a beautiful optical effect is created. This is due to the deep colours of the night sky against the black and white tones of the building. An effect which continues to amaze!
Hand-drawn by architect Robert Kann using Faber-Castell Indian ink pens, over a period of 18 hours, the illustration is then shaded and digitally coloured. The illustration is printed on textured parchment to give a truly unique appearance, which shimmers in the light, creating an intriguing sense of depth.
It is a limited edition Giclée print on Ivory hammered-effect 300gsm paper. All purchased artwork is signed and numbered.
