Park Street – Illustrations by Robert Kann

Rising steeply through the heart of Bristol, Park Street is one of the city’s most distinctive thoroughfares — linking College Green to Clifton and crowned by the magnificent Wills Memorial Building. Designed in the 18th century by George Tully and opened in 1761, the street has long been a landmark of Bristol life, known for its elegant Georgian façades, independent shops and lively creative culture.

In this series, architect and illustrator Robert Kann captures the rhythm and perspective of Park Street with architectural precision and a contemporary palette. Each colourway — Blue, Yellow and Orange — reinterprets the same composition through a different atmosphere, from cool morning clarity to the warmth of evening light.

Printed on archival paper and presented in clean, modern mounts, these works form part of Pitch26’s Cities Collection, celebrating iconic urban views through the eyes of an architect.

MEET THE ARTIST ROBERT KANN

My name is Robert Kann, but please call me Bob. I am a fully qualified architect, and an enthusiastic illustrator. I live and work in the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath; the city I've called home for the past 7 years, and the source of inspiration for a lot of my work.

I started Pitch26 in September 2013 in order to pursue a life of personal and creative freedom; I take immense pleasure in meeting interesting and varied people, and it is an honour that some of you buy into my style, and allow my creations to grace your walls and mantelpieces.
